Agile Transformation in the Workplace: What Every MBA Needs to Know
“Organizational Agility” is rapidly transforming the workplace and creating a vast number of new opportunities for MBAs. According to the 14th Annual State of Agile Report, 95% of employers are using Agile to deliver their work. As employers move from Agile to Agile at Scale to Organizational Agility, new organizational structures and job roles are needed to achieve the benefits. This trend is expected to continue to grow exponentially as a means of achieving competitive advantage and delivering the greatest value to customers in the shortest amount of time. To achieve their goals, employers need trained and certified professionals in these role.
Guest Speaker Biography
Sharon Bussey is the Managing Director of BTII Institute / BTII Global, a training and consulting firm. BTII specializes in Agile and Waterfall: Portfolio/Program/Project Management as well as Business Intelligence/Data Analytics. She is the lead PMP instructor and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Program Consultant. Prior to BTII, Sharon was the Director/Lead of Organization Process Alignment at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals where she led high-performing teams of more than 100 professionals. In this role she used Agile and Waterfall methodologies to lead global enterprise organizational process reengineering and software development initiatives. Prior to Pfizer she was a Senior Management Consultant at Deloitte Consulting where she led large healthcare IT implementations using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Sharon is a lifetime NBMBAA member and former executive board member of the New York chapter. She holds an MBA in Marketing and Operations from the Wharton School University of Pennsylvania and an MS in Computer Science from Pace University.
